Information We Collect

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address and record your newsletter consent. When you book a reading, we collect booking details such as your name, email address, selected session time, session duration, price, newsletter preference, and payment status information needed to complete the booking.

If you contact Honest Reading directly, we may collect the information you choose to include in your message, along with the Google reCAPTCHA verification result used to protect the contact form from automated abuse.

How We Use Information

We use your information to manage bookings, send booking confirmations, respond to messages, maintain customer records, and send newsletter emails when you have subscribed.

Spam and Abuse Protection

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help determine whether a submission is likely from a person or from automated abuse. Google may collect and process interaction, device, browser, and network information under its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Honest Reading uses the reCAPTCHA result only to protect the form and decide whether to accept a message. Honest Reading does not store your IP address or user agent with contact form messages.

Private Reading Sessions

Your reading session is completely private. Honest Reading does not record sessions, publish session details, or share the substance of your reading with anyone unless you explicitly ask us to do so.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Square. Honest Reading does not store your full payment card details. Square may process payment information according to its own privacy and security practices.

Newsletter Choices

You can ask to be removed from the newsletter at any time. Once removed, your customer record may still be retained where needed for booking history, accounting, security, or legal obligations.

Data Retention and Security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
